The University of Saint Thomas is the largest private post-secondary institution founded in 1885 in Minnesota, working with a mission to educate students to be morally responsible leaders, with critical thinking, and skills to work towards the common good. The main campus of the University of Saint Thomas is located in Saint Paul between the Merriam Park and Macalester Groveland neighborhood. The university teams of basketball and volleyball have actively participated in various events and won national titles. The student center has an art gallery, coffee shop, and even a bowling alley.
