The university’s main campus covers an area of 810 hectares and is surrounded by the Santa Cruz Mountains. Grads usually rave about the breath-taking beauty of the wooded UCSC campus! Whether it is the ocean, winds in the green field, fog in the trees, or the wildlife such as deer, newts, squirrels, raccoons, etc., they all gather together here like a canvas! The school’s environment means one can do many leisure activities such as swimming, biking, hiking, trail running, rock climbing, or tree climbing. Aside from this, it has 10 residential units and a modern McHenry Library, which collects publications on the arts, humanities and social sciences. Moreover, The University of California, Santa Cruz is committed to promoting physical education and entertainment programs and introducing them to as many students as possible for ensuring robust well-being. Various student clubs as well as organizations cater to a broad range of activities and there’s something for every participant.
