Southern University New Orleans is a space-grant public university in New Orleans, Louisiana which was set up in 1956. The university is accredited by Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools while offering four distinctive academic disciplines. Students from across the globe prefer programs in the academic segments of Humanities, Science, Social Science, and Commerce in the format of associate, bachelors, and masters level. The motive of the Southern University New Orleans is to be the United States' premier academic institute that makes students tomorrow's leaders and educates them to contribute to the community and the nation. Students at the university also participated in several athletic championships from which they won 13 Conference Championships, 8 National Championships, and over 200 All-Americans, and 6 Olympians.
