Founded with the mission to provide degree programs in southeast Georgia, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a private institution, which was established in 1978. The college encompasses an inclusive community, which welcomes students from all across the globe. SCAD has its accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and several other professional associations. The college mainly focuses on offering high-quality education in the field of fine arts. To do so, the college has nearly 700 professors who share an extraordinary academic background along with valuable teaching experience. The university offers over 40 majors, 74 minors, and several certificate programs in the domains of Visual and Performing Arts; Communications Technologies; Journalism; Human Sciences; Liberal Arts; and Architecture. Campus Life

A student’s career matters the most to the institution. For that, the university offers all the necessary tools and services required to have a professional career in the Arts domain. SCAD offers worldwide academic services. It houses two campuses in Georgia (one at Savannah and another at Atlanta), one campus in Hong Kong, and it also offers various study abroad programs at Lacoste, France. All the campus consists of all the necessary amenities like a fitness center, a library, on-campus cafes and shops, a wellness center, and many more. Moreover, students here can also engage themselves in various student clubs and organizations and on-campus events. On-campus dining and housing facilities are also available here. Besides these, there are multiple student-run media organizations at Georgia campuses.
