Established in 1925, Salisbury University is a public institution located in Salisbury on the Eastern shore of Maryland, US. With a motto of "Learn, Live, Lead" the university is a member of the University System of Maryland. Salisbury University offers 42 bachelor’s and 14 master’s degree programs across six academic departments of arts, business, science and technology, and education. The popular choice among students are majors in biology, management, exercise science, nursing, and psychology. The university sponsors many types of scholarships for academically gifted students and students that need financial aid. The university has its own office of diversity and inclusion division which ensures all the students feel included and are treated equally. 

Campus Life

Home to more than 7000 students, Salisbury University is spread over a campus area of 201 acres of land which is a 2-hour drive from Washington and Philadelphia. The university has taken all safety measures on-campus with the facility of 24-hour emergency calls, late-night pickup service and 24-hour escort service. About 30 percent of the students choose to avail themselves of the on-campus accommodation facility. There are ten residence halls available. The students are known to participate in national level sports tournaments and have brought 19 national championships and 24 individual and national championships in various games. The vibrant campus takes care of its students via the library, student center, organizations and clubs, and much more.

Salisbury university is ranked 67th in the 2021 edition of best colleges is regional universities north, is ranked 37th in best college for veterans, 41st in best value schools, and is ranked 166th in top performers on social mobility and 16th in public schools
