New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) was established in 1881 in Newark, New Jersey. It was a technical school initially that came into existence with the local industrialists and investors' help. The school welcomes students from vivid nations to pursue higher education and has around 52 undergraduate and 67 graduate programs in healthcare and law, mathematics, physics, architecture, and many other courses. NJIT offers multiple options to the students to study abroad through coops, internships, and job opportunities. The main campus is in downtown Newark. New Jersey Institute of Technology is a member of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities.

Campus Life

New Jersey Institute of technology’s main campus covers forty-five acres of land. For the students, many facilities are available, such as on-campus housing full of amenities and highly furnished. On the campus, Robert W. Van Houten library is the main library with many study books and online sources. Students here are also eligible to avail of financial aid, which is provided by the institute itself. There is a career and the health center in the college for the students so that they can approach them as and when they feel low or have any doubt. Besides this, the dining facility, sports and fitness activity, transportation facility is available for entire year. Moreover, the campus is considered to be full of opportunities and there are many scope of learning outcomes. There are many recreational activities conducted on-campus to elevate the mood of the students like sports. Apart from this, their many events conducted on-campus. The campus is considered to be very safe and the tight security system is found for 24/7. Students can experience city life during vacations which has many restaurants, art and cultural centers, park and much more.

The graduates of this institute have made a successful career in their respective fields after passing out from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Some of the alumni are Dean at University of Southern California- A. Michael Noll, Founder and Chairman of AECOM Technology Corp.- Albert Dorman and many more. The institute sponsors 20 varsity teams and men’s volleyball teams actively participate in inter-college competition.
