Canada’s largest funded health science institute, Michener Institute of Education at UHN, commonly known as Michener, is a post-secondary education hub based in Downtown Toronto, Ontario. The 62-year-old institute provides an excellent health care education by offering 30 academic programs which are awarded as diploma and certificate; joint-program offered in association with the University of Toronto and Laurentian University. Michener students get an on-hands experience as the school has its hospital which enables front-line insights, shaping the curriculum. Chiropody, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Imaging, Radiation and Genetics are some of the popular Michener programs.

Campus Life

Michener Institute of Education at UHN is nestled in the heart of one of the most livable cities in the world, Toronto, in the province of Ontario. There are 5 campuses in UHN namely: Toronto General Hospital Campus, Western Hospital Campus, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Campus, Rehabilitation Institute Campus and St. Patrick Campus. 24-hour fitness, athletics and recreational facilities are available, with intramurals and pick-up sports in the vicinity. Michener offers an on-campus co-ed residence at Schatz Hall, which is just 10 minutes walk from classrooms.

Michener graduates have successfully flourishing careers as healthcare workers. The alumni community consists of 12000+ proud graduates. Currently, Hollin NG (radiation therapist) is the chairperson in the board of directors of the alumni community. Some of the famous graduates are Lisa Iveson who works in Australia at general radiography and breast clinics; Dr Lubna Mansuri is HOD at Nursing Operations in India; Teresa Euton is author of the renowned book called 'Labour Pains'.
