Founded in 1934, Jacksonville University is a private institution that offers more than 100 majors, minors, and programs at the undergraduate level, as well as 23 master's and doctorate degree programs. The university is divided into four colleges and two institutes. The college of Arts and Sciences offers a traditional liberal arts education such as science and mathematics, social sciences, humanities, etc. The College of Fine Arts offers undergraduate programs such as dance, theatre, music, and visual arts. The Davis College of Business offers MBA and EMBA degrees. The Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences the school of Orthodontics where students can participate in simulations of everything from childbirth to wound care.
Campus Life
The college has a long list of varsity sports including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, and countless others. Campus life at JU reflects the many passions of the students with their long-standing traditions, year-round events, fraternities, sororities, every kind of club, and 17 division teams. It’s through these diverse activities, in addition to the stellar classes, that students will build community, make friends, and construct a dynamic future that feels true to all that they are.
