Hobart and William Smith are independent liberal arts colleges that have been known for providing highly personalized education since 1796. The college is guided by curricula based on exploration and rigor to prepare students for critical thinking. The college offers a bachelor's of arts and science degrees along with a master's degree in education. The institute offers approximately 40 majors and 70 minors, ranging from critical social studies to anthropology and political science.
