Hobart and William Smith are independent liberal arts colleges that have been known for providing highly personalized education since 1796. The college is guided by curricula based on exploration and rigor to prepare students for critical thinking. The college offers a bachelor's of arts and science degrees along with a master's degree in education. The institute offers approximately 40 majors and 70 minors, ranging from critical social studies to anthropology and political science. Besides, the university's summer undergraduate research program allows pupils to work with faculty researchers and gain valuable research experience in this field.

Campus Life

The campuses of these universities cover 170 acres along the shores of Lake Seneca. The ground is characterized by Jacob's academic buildings and green lawns, which extend to the water's edge with umbriferous trees. The campus includes its own post office, cafe, performing arts center and theater. In Hobart and William Smith, learners are welcome to enter the vibrant residential campus community. On any day, one can participate in thought-provoking guest lectures, participate in college sports, clubs, or wall sports otherwise can find a quiet study space in the library or Blackwell Hall.
