Owned and run by the BPP Holdings which is part of the education company named Apollo Education group based in the US, BPP University College of Professional Studies educates more than 80,000 students and works with 7000 businesses and producing learning materials that are made use by 150 nations in the world. The university works with the learning methodology that focuses on 5 steps that assures career success, which are Prepare, Apply, Collaborate, Consolidate and Assessment. The first step, Prepare is the stage in which the foundation knowledge about the programme is introduced through lectures, seminars and live teaching sessions revolving around career and exam success along with feedback on the progress of the students. The second step, Apply is the stage where the knowledge acquired in the first step is applied to real-world tasks through Virtual Practice Environment which simulates scenarios in barristers chambers and law firms, exam practice platforms, apprenticeship programmes, clinical exercises and placements for healthcare students and business simulations in which entrepreneurial examples and cases are used to build business skills. The third step, Collaborate involves discussions and testing and Consolidate, which is the fourth step focuses on practices, revision tasks and tests. The final step called Assessment includes face-to-face assessments along with Digital Assessment.

Campus Life

From the year 2007, it is the first publicly owned company in the country to gain degree-awarding powers which was the result of a detailed application to the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the UK. The collaboration of practical application relevant to the industry with academic knowledge is one of the unique teaching approaches of the university. BPP university gained indefinite taught degree awarding powers (TDAP) for its academic integrity in 2020 September from the Office for Students (OfS) regulatory framework. Studying in 13 centers spread out in eight locations in England, it has almost 15,000 students with 70% of them as full-time students and more than 84% on postgraduate programmes. Within 15 months of graduation, 98.1 of the students of the university who got into employment are in highly skilled occupations. Members of the Safeguarding teams and the Learning Support of the university are trained Mental Health First Aiders and as a commitment to workplace mental health, it has got involved with the Time to Change Pledge of 2018.
