Albright College (Albright) is the oldest learning institute of its kind in Berks County. It is a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1856. Started as Albright Collegiate Institute, the institution has evolved a long way. Central Pennsylvania College and Schuylkill College has its merger with Albright College, which lead Albright to move its campus from Myerstown, Pa., to its present location. Since its inception, the college is focused on preparing strong, creative, and talented leaders in all the domains of the world. The college offers a flexible curriculum that helps the students to earn their Bachelors or Masters Degree in the Arts and science domains. Furthermore, Albright also offers various fast-track degree programs at 10 locations all over Pennsylvania. Programs offered in the fields of fashion, theatre, and music have received national attention in the past few years. To pursue higher education from Albright is still a dream for many.

Campus Life

The 118 acres of the lush green campus of the college holds all the modern facilities required by the students to achieve their life goals. The campus encompasses a Media center, which houses on-campus radio and television broadcast station; a Bollman center which equips all the modern physical training equipment; a renowned Freedman Gallery which hosts various professional shows every year; the Gene Shirk Stadium for playing inaugural sports; and the McMillan Student Center which consists of various cafes, bookstores, student lounge, and different students activities. Additionally, the campus also has a 25-yard swimming pool and a recreational center. The college believes in going green, hence there are many green spaces and trees on the campus, which offers a serene environment to the students. The college also has its sports team, which competes in NCAA Division III. On-campus housing and dining options are also available here. Overall, the campus has a lot to offer to the students.

Albright College has an alumni network of over 20,000 graduates all over the world. All of those are doing extremely well in their domain of expertise. The college’s alumni association publishes e-newspaper for its alumni to keep them posted about latest news and happenings on the campus. Some of the notable alumni of Albright includes: Brent Hurley – the director of finance and operations of YouTube, Thomas R. Kline – an American Lawyer, Mũkoma wa Ngũgĩ - a Kenyan poet and author and Anthony J. Portantino - an American politician currently serving in the California State Senate.
